NOTICE: Although we would like to hear from you, we can not represent you as our client until, among other things, we know that doing so will not create a conflict-of-interest and that we are qualified to meet your legal needs. Accordingly, please do not send us any information about any matter that may involve a potential legal representation until you receive a written statement from us that we represent you (i.e., an "engagement letter" or "fee agreement"). Unless you are already a client of ours, and an engagement letter or fee agreement has been signed by both of us, your e-mail may not be treated as privileged or confidential.
The best way for you to initiate a possible representation is to call our main switchboard at (215) 938-6378. We will put you in contact with someone who will first take you through our conflict-of-interest procedure and see that you are referred to a lawyer suited to handle your matter. If and when you receive an engagement letter from that lawyer, you will be our client and we may exchange information freely.
If you communicate with us by e-mail in connection with a matter for which we already represent you, please remember that e-mail is not fully secure. The Levin Legal Group Goes Paperless
During the first week of September, 2001, the Levin Legal Group installed a new computer system that will enable it to go "paperless." Although the "sound bite" is that the firm will be a "paperless office," that is not exactly accurate. The computer system represents the latest technology for paper and document management. Software provided by LaserFiche is being run on high capacity computers and high speed scanners to enable letters, briefs and other documents to be stored and retrieved electronically. Literally every substantive piece of paper that comes into the office is immediately scanned into the system and the attorneys in the firm have instant access to all important papers. When clients call the office, their files are just a "click" away. The firm will be able to more effectively and more efficiently process our client's documents.
New Releases
The firm's attorneys believe that they owe it to their clients and to the advancement of the legal profession to have a thorough understanding of those areas of the law with which they deal on an ongoing basis. Towards that aim, the firm's attorneys are responsible for the publication of a number of books and chapters in publications. In the coming months, new and updated editions of the following books and chapters will be released:
- Pennsylvania School Personnel Actions 2005-2006
- Pennsylvania School Laws and Rules 2006-2007
- United States School Laws and Rules 2006
- Municipal Liability in Pennsylvania: An Analysis of the Political Subdivision Tort Claims Act

Levin Creates Computer Software Company!
The firm's understanding of how technology is changing the way people do things is reflected in the fact that the president of the firm, Michael I. Levin, has created a computer software company, named SureForms.comTM in order to create legal forms designed to help employers and school districts to reduce exposure to legal liability and to enable them to meet legal requirements with less cost. The products of SureForms.comTM can be found on the company's website at www.sureforms.com.
SureForms.com's current products are the New Employee Orientation checklist and the electronic Lesson Plan Application, which can be previewed by clicking the links below. SureForms.comTM is currently working on special education software that will include an automatic and electronic reminder system and calendar based upon the requirements of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Pennsylvania special education laws, and the ability to confidentially store and access information specific to each child's educational needs as well as required special education documents, such as procedural safeguard notices, ER's, IEP's, and NORA's.
